Download CPCLEAN from http://www.checkpoint.com/techsupport/downloadsng/utilities.html#cpclean and run it. It will obliterate all traces of any Check Point product on the laptop so you can try again.

If this is not XP SP2, note that the release notes for R56 7 R60 both list two Microsoft hotfixes that you will need to apply first to avoid BSOD problems. I know this isn't what you're seeing ,though.

If this laptop has the Cisco VPN client on it, it will have to be un-checked. That Deterministic Networks thingy is usually the problem.

Subject: [FW-1] Problems installing SecureClient R56/R60
Date: Fri, 21 Oct 2005 17:33:00 +0200

Hi all,

I need to install VPN-1 SecureClient R56 or R60 on a Windows XP laptop but install process returns this error:

"VPN-1 SecuRemote/SecureClient kernel installation failed. Error 0x800F0203"
  "Installation was not completed successfully"

Error is the same for R56 and R60 .

How can I fix this??

Thank you.
