I am getting the error 'Kernel panic: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernal'
I am running NG R55 on IBM Blade Server. Our primary drive went down and we are currently running off the secondary. Here is what we are doing: We are simply copying all the data from drive #2 to drive#1. We will be doing this by enabling the non-support IDE array controller and creating a mirrored drive. The software then asks what drive to use as the target. We select the primary drive so it will copy all the data from the secondary drive to the primary drive. When this is done we go in the BIOS disable the IDE array controller and the secondary drive, so it will try and boot from the primary. When booting into normal mode, I see the following error: Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel When booting into debug mode, I see the following errors: Loading jbd module Loading ext3 module Mounting /proc filesystem Creating root device mounting root filesystem mount: error 19 mounting ext3 pivotroot: pivot_root (/sysroot, /sysroot/initrd) failed: 2 Kernel panic: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel Entering kdb (current-0xb7f9000, pid 1) on processor 0 due to panic Cesar Luna ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
