We are closing the facility where our primary firewall and management station have been located. We have a new Internet connection and firewall at another location. I need to get a management station running at the new location. I would like to rename the management station at the new location and it will have a different IP address. Can anyone point me to a document on how to do this? Or give me some pointers on this? Checkpoint support has not been any help so far.
What I have done so far is install a Solaris box in the new location with Checkpoint installed as a primary management station. I want to get it running and then shutdown the current management station. I would like to do an upgrade_export from the existing management station and upgrade_import into the new one if possible. We're running SPLAT on the enforcement module. The management station is running Solaris 9. We're using Checkpoint R55 with HFA15.
