Hi Everyone,
I am wondering if someone in this group can shed some lights on Checkpoint
Eventia product.
I have a general knowledge of what this product does. My background with
similar
products in the area of expertise are hightower, Net Forensics and Arcsight.
NetForensics and Arcsight can handle lot of devices from many different
security
vendors such as Symantec, Cisco, NetScreen, Checkpoint, sourcefire, ISS,
etc...
These companies have a track and wide installation base so they are proven.
The complaint I have about these two vendors is that they are very expensive.
With Checkpoint Eventia Analyzer being the new kid on the block, I would like
to
know how good is this product compared to like NetForensic, Arcsight and
high-tower.
Specifically, my Q. has to do with Eventia interoperable with Cisco routers,
Pix, VPN
concentrator and Cisco IDS. Is it easy to integrate cisco devices with
Eventia
or I am better off to go with Cisco MARS box? What about pricing? Is
Eventia
expensive as well?
A former colleague of mine asked me about it and before I answer his question,
I would like to test eventia as well but your opinons and comments carry lot
of weigh
with me.
Your informed comments are appreciated.
