Have you tried simply upping your idle time?  Run "idle X" in normal
"non-expert" mode.  X is the number of minutes you want the console to sit
idle before auto-logout.

Trying to 'restore' onto a new platform - The backup tar ball is about 
160megs - During the restore process the terminal session times out and 
i can't seem to do anything to stop this happening.

Anyone know how i can stop the terminal from auto logging out during the 
restore process?
