I have got away with this by doing an upgrade_export/import of the CMA
to a stand alone manager, both the stand alone and CMA were able to
install policies to the same modules at the same time due to the SIC
stuff being identical. I don't think this is supported and the correct
way would be to do a re-set SIC for the new manager when needed.

Subject: [FW-1] Nokia Enforcement Module managed by both Provider-1 CMA
and Standalone Management Server?

Hi Group,

I do not think this is possible and I need a confirmation on this:

I have nokia appliance (IPSO 3.7.1 build 024 and NG AI R55w with
HFA_04).
This Nokia is being managed primary by a Provider-1 CMA running on
Solaris 9. I also have a standalone SPLAT R55w log server (aka CLM).

Now for redundancy, I would like to manage the Nokia appliance
via a standalone SmartCenter (aka Management) in addition to the
Provider-1 CMA. I like to use the standalone management Server to
manage the Nokia in case Provider-1 CMA becomes unavailable.
  Is that possible?

  As always, TIA
