I've looked through the archives, and didn't see an answer to this question... so I thought I'd ask the experts.
We recently upgraded our 512MB IP350 from NG to NGX R61. In so doing, the memory utilization went through the roof, from a maximum of MAYbe 70% memory utilization to now NEVER being LESS than 95% memory utilization. We have pretty low traffic levels (typically less than 10% CPU utilization), and no more than three or four SecuRemote VPN users at a time, so I was shocked at the difference. My question: Given that we've maxed out the box (with 512MB) is the high memory utilization anything we should be concerned about? Or is the memory utilization we're seeing just attributable to memory caching? I'd hate to swap my IP350 out to an IP380 just to be able to load it with more memory... Config Details: IP350 IPSO 4.0 NGX R61 512MB memory Plenty of swap space available (15% in use) Many thanks, Peter ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
