It is not an IP440, but I already know of a Nokia box running Secure Platform with no problem at all, IPSO 3.9 (required for NGX) was no longer supported on it and the guy did not want to just get rid of such a nice piece of hardware.
Now, going back to the idea of doing a fresh install of IPSO 3.7 on an IP440, I've been there... Several months ago one of my customers with that exact model of Nokia box had issues with IPSO and we decided it was the best way to go, Nokia would not provide any assistance and the image of the boot floppy for that unit was not available anywhere on their site. Gladly my customer found the original disks (not for 3.7 off course) that came with the appliance after searching on some dusty boxes in the bottom of their storage room and we could start from there until upgrading to 3.7. Unfortunately that IP440 is no longer in production and I'm pretty sure they got rid of everything related with it. So, as suggested by other guys in the list, I would say go for SPLAT. He has a CD-ROM on it and he can try to boot splat with it. the NICs are made by Intel so I don't think there would be a problem with the drivers for them. ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
