This is correct, user authority does not run either, Nokia has a resolution
stating this, Solution 1129391

As far as I can remember the R55w version did not support floodgate. Only R55
or R55p does. It had something to do with technical incompatibility with the
web services build in the "w" version.

I have no R55w gateways to manage but I vaguely remember posts in this mailing
list about the lack of Floodgate in that version.

Subject: [FW-1] assistance needed ASAP.

Guys,

I need help with this one.

I am running NG with AI R55w with HFA_04 on an IP650 that has IPSO 3.7.1
build 25
on it. The nokia is being managed by a Provider-1 (Manager+Container) NG
with AI
R55w on Secureplatform. Everything is working so far.

Now customer would like to implement floodgate on it. I've been researching
both
Nokia and Checkpoint websites regarding floodgate on the Nokia and I have not
been
able to find any definitive answers on it. Nokia says that floodgate is
supported on
IPSO beginning with NG FP2; however, on checkpoint website, I can not find
floodgate for IPSO. Documentation on checkpoint says that floodgate comes
with the IPSO wrapper package for R55w. Well, that's what I installed but
when
I go into "manage packages" I do not see floodgate package installed. WTF!

Right now, as a work around, I am implementing QoS and traffic shapping on the
upstream router in front of the firewall to achieve the same result; however,
the
customer wants floodgate but I have no clue on how to do it on the Nokia box.

Can someone help me out here? Thanks.
