If you look it an another way by reading that article... there is a lot of suc!ers like me and you still pay for subscriptions.
But I have to hand it to them, they have the best "GUI" product in the market...period. If I wanted to deal with a lot of CLI commands....then I would use their competitors product, which is not bad at all...but their GUI interface is terrible, it has not changed much in 10 years. So for the moment...I am am going to stay with the less of the 2 evil.....(my point of view) Checkpoint and pay for their support....which I have used less then 10 times in 5 years. Reason, never jump at their latest release... Checkpoint, please listen to your customers....(at least occasionally!) or you will became another " Novell " company... ----- Original Message ---- From: Christian ALT <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, November 5, 2006 12:18:22 PM Subject: Re: [FW-1] checkpoint knowledge base sk31876 explaination needed Hi all, Since the discussion goes about subscriptions and support, I have to add that the total amount paid for subscription is important, and I have brought the issue in article I have published on 19 October: " In the following lines you will see that 45-50% of its revenue are coming from subscriptions." The rest of this information can be found http://www.tla.ch/TLA/FW/FAQ/2006-10-19-checkpoint-q3-revenue.htm This is just a fact that could be brought into consideration in this discussion. Opening cases is neither in my interest neither in checkpoints (since there is no more a per case fee to be paid). And now I will leave this subject to rest ...
