We were part of the initial Edge ADSL tests and ran into similar issues. The
problem is that the Edge ADSL profile is not added into the objects_5_0.C file.
You have to manually add the Edge ADSL object type into the objects file using
the following procedure:
(If the tabs and spacing gets mangled in the mail send process, let me know and
I'll send it to you as a text file)
Run "cpstop"
Backup the objects_5_0.c
Open "objects_5_0.C" file under fw1/conf folder. Copy the following text and
paste it after VPN-1_Edge_W_Series object:

Hi everyone,
i have a problem to connect a VPN1 Edge ADSL to smartcenter server.
It says, that it is not registerd in smartcenter - but it is.
I used the same procedure I used with all Edges before. LIBSW are updated to
newest version on smartcenter. It seems that the new hardware type (ADSL
version)is the problem, no problems to connect a Box without ADSL modem.
I can´t find anything in secureknowledge regarding this problem,
does anyone have an advice ?
