Are you thinking of Nokia flows? Securexl does accelerate encryption
through Checkpoint. According to Nokia if this is enabled it will handle
the encryption acceleration instead of the onboard accelerator found on
all IP 350/380's. I do not have one of these models at my immediate
disposal and was checking to see if anyone in this group could confirm
this.

They are two different things like planes and cars.

SecureXL makes handles sessions so you do not have to go to Check Point.

BUt this only works if you do not use any of the tricks of Check Point
to
mangle TTL values and such. Enable it and you lose acceleration of
SecureXL.

The hardware acceleration is a VPN hardware accelerator. So it is used
for
VPN's to make sure the main CPU is not bothered with crypto work.
