When we did this over the summer, the one thing the user guide neglected to mention was the custom reports, which got wiped out when we uninstalled Eventia from mgmt and this is notmentioned anymore in the user guide. Make sure you have a good backup of the conf directory & call Ckpt to see if there's updated documentation on backing up the "My reports".
Otherweise its pretty straightforward. Uninstall Eventia on mgmt, pop in the installation disc, load the add-on component, uncheck eventia from mgmt property, create host node object in dashboard for the new eventia server, establish SIC & push user database. If you are able to connect to mgmt from your eventia box & consolidation starts, things shd be golden. -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Torkel Mathisen Sent: Friday, December 15, 2006 4:04 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] SV: [FW-1] Eventia Reporter installation I'm not going to run Eventia Reporter right on the SmartCenter but according to UserGuide I need to install an Eventia Reporter Add-on package on it. The Reporter itself will be hosted on a different server.
