We run a Global Network, everything that comes into or leaves our building is going through two IPS and CheckPoint.
We use to use smart deffense but we actually had to turn as much off as we possible can to the point where we do not subscribe to it anymore. We run a lot of netbios and Microsoft CIFS (445) through all of our firewalls and we rely on the IPS's two different vendors to assure that the traffic is safe. We also are using eventia analyzer to dig through our logs to find the different attacks in the logs to help find those attacks that do not show up in the logs, sch as a ICMP just one entry in the logs couold be hiding 30,000 connections.
