What version of VSX are you running ? I have VSX NGX and I can use
SmartView monitor without a problem to view network statistics.
Furthermore
can someone explain why the counters reset themselves periodically?
because they are 32bit integers and therefore they reset at 4 gigabytes
of traffic.
