Hi Alexander, I would migrate the licenses on your curent NG smartcenter using the license_upgrade tool. You could simulate the upgarde to verify that everything works fine. In our case we migrated from NG AI R55 to NGX R60 ( I prefered to go step by step and not to jump to R62 directly ).
I would give you just another device I hope will help you. Install your Smartcenter using advanced upgrade importing you old configuration (with the migarted licenses ) and after the installation: DONT REBOOT !! Connect to your new smartcenter and push the policies to the gateway(s). I tell you this because when I installed our new smartcenter at the end of the installation it says something like "dont forget to reboot to complete your installation" and as I did this I lost sic with the gateways... :-( After that, we reinstalled the smartcenter and without rebooting we pushed the policies to the gateways for the first time, then could reboot our new smartcenter without losing sic :-D I suggest you also to read the "Upgrade Guide" carefully.
