Hello,

I have customer that currently has 3 SPLAT HA (active/standby) clusters (2
machines each).

Recently we upgraded their SmartCenter and 2 of the 3 clusters from R61 to
R62 with no issues, a day later we upgraded the remaining cluster but around
3 hours later, they reported the standby module was unstable, one the
interfaces repeatedly reported to to be down and then up and so on. I asked
for him to check the auto negotiation or duplex settings of that interface
but they found no problem, there was an IPS monitoring that segment and they
disabled for a while it just in case it was doing something funny with the
clustering info, but the issue remained. He also monitored the conflicting
interface using mii-tool and strangely even when the SmartView Tracker
showed the interface was down at a given time, mii-tool always showed link
up on that interface.
Finally my customer decided to test stopping the active module and let the
standby module become active and it it took over the traffic with no issues
at all, he thought the problem had disapear, but then a few minutes later
the formerly active and now standby module started sowing the same problem,
same interface number as the other box, again changing from up to down
continuously.

Again, this all started after upgrading from R61 to R62 and 2 other clusters
have no problem at all, last the third onwe.

Any ideas will be very appreciated.

Regards
