I'm having the same issue on R61 on SPLAT. I did it OK on R55 & R62 on Windows 2003. I see the syslog connections from the firewall getting accepted and going to the management server, but I can't figure out how to see them. I recall that I had to set the SmartView Trackr "Origin" to the device sending the syslogs, but I don't have a syslog or OSE product entry in Product to filter on. I also cannot see that the syslog process is running on the SmartCenter.

Subject: [FW-1] Syslogging to SmartCenter
Date: Thu, 31 May 2007 13:23:32 -0500

Anyone have a doc on how this is setup.

I have a Pix (6.3.4) 501E that I need to setup syslog to the
SmartCenter. I built an OSE device, Cisco, with the IP. I also enabled
syslogging under my SmartCenter log options. I don't see anything
coming through. If I have the PIX redirect to another syslog box that
we use for routers internally it is sending the logs. Do I need to
setup something special so CheckPoint will log them? Such as a specific
facility code, etc?

Thanks,

Derek O'Flynn
