We have a recurring problem where, say, once or twice
a month, a ClusterXL HA pair fails over because the
primary reports that the cphad "device" detected a problem.
In the logs, the reports that the process is unresponsive,
and the reports it back up again all happen in the same
second. But this is enough for the secondary firewall to
decide that the primary is down and take over.

First off, anyone know what the cphad device is? It sounds
like a daemon process, but I don't see any process with
that name running on the system.

Anyone know what would cause these failures? This is a Sun
V240 running R60. It's doesn't seem to be loaded hard at
all. I don't see much of a pattern to the failovers (except
they happen a lot when I'm not in the office, but since
I, luckily, spend less than a third of my life in the
office, that would be expected if they were really random).
These seem to be just an annoyance. The primary immediately
goes back into standby mode, so all I do is force a failover
back to the primary, and things hum along again for a few
weeks. I'd like to eliminate them.

Thanks for any help.
