you can find some guidance on cisco site, and also at the url below :

if you still have issue, you need to enable the debug on vpn with the
following command on the gateway
vpn debug trunc
then check the vpnd.elg and ike.elg with ikeview. (a tool that comes
with infoview from checkpoint website).
those two files are in the $FWDIR/log directory (%FWDIR\log on windows).
vpn debug off
vpn debug ikeoff
are the two commands to disable the debug for vpn.
