hi, I guess your second T1 is also an internet-link so you can put it on a new if of the firewall and then you have 2 ISPs. What you can do now is setup the vpn for the new ISP (primary if in if resolving of the vpn settings) and have the other traffic on the other isp.
nice thing about that is that you have failover then - if isp1 goes down vpn will use isp2. br reinhard -- Reinhard Stich, Internet Security AG Mobile email powered by Nokia Intellisync -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: John Lindblom Gesendet: 13.09.2007 21:49:48 An: John Lindblom;[email protected] Betreff: [FW-1] Another routing question I'm certainly no router expert so I thought I would run this by the list. I currently have a single T1 to the internet with an assigned public IP address subnet between the SPLAT firewall and the router for the T1. This T1 is used for all company internet activity including a site-to-site VPN I have setup with an Edge appliance at a remote office, I'm considering adding a dedicated T1 just for the site-to-site VPN but I'm not sure how to do it. Would I add the additional router (current only handles single T1) and put it on that subnet I currently have between the SPLAT firewall and the current router and assign the internal interface one of my available IP addresses. That would give me the SPLAT box and two routers on this subnet, would I then setup a default route for 172.18.0.0 subnet (remote offfice) on the firewall to point to the dedicated T1 to have all site-to-site VPN traffic go through that T1?
