Well, I have seen this every time on fresh installations with SPLAT, most of
the times it works fine and all interfaces get pulled with no problem, but
some times the SMNP error comes up.

For what you have wrote, sounds like the SNMP would be running by default on
SPLAT installations, but sometimes not (???)
Sounds like a bug to me.
