We use RKON (Chicago based) for our licensing and support needs.
We've always had issues and frustrations with licensing costs as the
model always changes (each year it seems), the licensing learning
curve is steep, and something critical license/need is always missed.
We only communicate with the sales staff via email after the initial
call, so there a lesser chance of communications breakdown. A diagram
of your architecture and your needs really helps the sales staff get
you exactly the licensing your looking for, and makes the process so
much easier. With multiple clusters/locations/licensing needs for
each, it can get very confusing without the diagram.

credit card, and being told everything was all set, they came back a
couple days later and decided they needed to charge me $1000 more.)
