Is there a way I can monitor the CPU load on a Nokia IP560, v4.1? I wrote a small shell script to monitor the CPU idle time and send out an email if idle drops too low. However, it seems like in Nokia Voyager if I schedule a "wildcard" job, it won't accept asterisks for the crontab. I need it to run every 10 minutes. I have tried a couple of different permutations */10, etc. But voyager doesn't like the setting. It says you can enter ranges, but there is only enough room in the text box for three characters. I also dont want to edit /etc/crontab manually.
hello,
there are some tools to monitor via snmp the cpu of your system. you can also use some monitoring tools (nagios, cacti, hobbit, etc).
Alternatively, can I put something in SmartView Monitor or SmartDefense to alert me when the firewall's CPU load rises above 50%?
