Hello, Some time ago (about 3 months), one of my customers had a situation with multiple users with laptops running Secure Client, they usually get connected from the outside via VPN to their VPN-1 firewall and working with Office Mode but most of them come back to the office from time to time and get connected to the internal network. The issue was that sometimes, when those machines were connected to the local network (behind the VPN-1 firewall), they were unable to get DNS resolutions for local domains while resolving external domains was not a problem at all. The only way my customer found to solve the problem, was selecting the option ^Stop VPN-1 Secure Client^ and everything worked fine.
Back then I could not find a solution, so I end up opening a case with Check Point, and they came up with the following procedure: 1) Select Start > Run 2) In the Run dialog box, enter "regedit" in Open field 3) Click OK 4) In Registry Editor, change default value of 1 in following parameter to 0 (DWORD): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\\RegistrationEnabled 5) Save and exit 6) Reboot machine Which actually solved the issue, but recently they upgraded some of their machines (and got new ones) to Secure Client version 63.0.0.12 and the problem reappeared with exact same symptoms on several machines with both Windows XP and Vista. The procedure described above did not solve the problem this time. Has anybody else seen this problem? Obviously something changed between versions, but the CP support guys seem to have no idea as they are requesting cpinfos from the cluster members, SmartCenter server and all clients involved, which makes me think it could take weeks before we get an answer. Any assistance with this issue will be greatly appreciated.
