Check to make sure you have enough room in your root directory by using
the "df" command. If root is nearly full, backup may fail. Also check
/var directory.

Subject: [FW-1] SecurePlatform R55 Backup Failing

I use the splat web interface to do automated backups of the firewall,
and
I just noticed that it hasn't been backed up for awhile. I ran a manual
backup, and in the backup log I get the following error:

Cannot complete the backup process due to package compression errors.
Backup operation failed.

I have done searches on Checkpoint SecureKnowledge, and I cannot find
what
this error is.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

Thanks,

Sean
