CP already got an automated script for that. It's called backup. Original name
I know.

It can be used from either CLI or WebUI.

Syntax on CLI is:

backup -e on <hh:mm> -w 1234567 -s <SCP IP> <user> <pass> - path <Path>
<FileName>

-e is schedule
-w is day of week
-s is scp server

Path is the path on the root folder of the user for example: home/user1/test12,
the path will be test12

If you just want to take backup on local machine the -s can be dropped ofcourse.

Regards,
Torkel
