checkpoint and others with netscreen, in my opinion we can bypass load
balancing because of low trafic average, but we need to secure the
architecture.

You want to do load balancing. But you think you want to do HA only.
Your  specifications do call for some sort of Load balancing solution.
You can choose to use ClusterXL for this or IP clustering from Nokia as
indicated by someone else.

But if you have a problem figuring out how to do this yourself then I
strongly suggest you rethink your ability to create a stable installation.
