There was a discussion regarding this topic a couple of weeks ago. Do a
search on CPUG and you should find it quick enough.

To put it in a nutshell

The licensing scheme works like this

Connectra = Concurrent connected users
FW1 (SNX, SR, SC) = Number of (named) users.

Users are kept in a table that is purged/refreshed every 30 days or so.

Minh

Subject: [FW-1] SecureClient Licensing

I have been running into issues with the SecuRemote client and
conflicting
IP address ranges and the lack of Office Mode capabilities in the
client,
as others have from the past topics on the list. I have been talking to
Checkpoint about this and as expected and as others have said, you can't
use the SecureClient without a license even though it may work it's
violating the license.

Now my question regarding the SecureClient, does anyone know how the
licensing is tracked for this if I'm only after the Office Mode
capability
at this time? I plan on purchasing the necessary licensing but at this
point I have a handful of laptops we will be deploying and I would like
to
use the SecureClient package for these. I don't want to use the
SecureClient if I will have problems once I install the licenses
requiring
additional configuration o the client side.

John
