| Hi,

| I found some strange directories on a SmartCenter R62:
|
| # pwd
| /opt/CPsuite-R62/fw1/conf
|
| # ls -al | more
| total 155338
| drwx------ 135 root bin 12288 Apr 15 09:23 .
| drwxrwx--- 9 root root 512 Dec 19 2006 ..
| drwx------ 2 root root 1024 Dec 6 2006 20030106082333
| drwx------ 2 root root 1024 Dec 6 2006 20030113083534
| drwx------ 2 root root 1024 Dec 6 2006 20030117092659
|
| ..and so on.
|
| It seems to me to be just backup directories of all the .C and .W
files from the conf directory.
|
| And they are old as hell so I suspect they are from a previous upgrade.
|
| Does anyone know for sure what it is and if I can just delete them?

Sounds like you were an early adaptor of Revision Control. Please check
first if the system is still aware of these older revisions.

If it is then remove the older revisions via the GUI. If not just clear
them out completely.
