Yes. We have this problem with two plain-ol' VPN-1 Power
SmartCenters. Might I ask what platform you are running on?
We're seeing it on Solaris 10. Look for,

In the archives from 11/30/2007 for more detail. Got this
response from my VAR at the same time,
We have seen this problem occur once on R61. Check Point
released a hot fix that addressed it, however it did not
resolve it. Our current workaround, besides a cprestart,
is to use the log rotation from the Smart Dashboard. I
have a ticket opened up with Check Point for this and I
will let them know we are also experiencing . As soon as
I get more information, I will let you know.
I haven't heard from them since on the topic. And the workaround
of using the "SmartDashboard" (I think he means Smart Tracker)
to rotate the log doesn't work for me.
But what do see is spontaneous log rotation when the log file
starts to close in on 2 GB.
