We are using Intel gig nics in our SPLAT box.  They are supported by
Check Point.
I don't recall doing anything special to get SPLAT to recognize them.
I do know that we installed them when we were running R54, and when we
moved to a newer version, they were still supported.
Perhaps you should open a case with Check Point to see if they can help
you with the issue.

Looks like theres is not a single PCI NIC running gigabit that is
supported on SPLAT.
I thought only Windows users needed to upgrade hardware before
upgrading software.  :-)
