Hello list,
I want to ask if any of you are running Provider-1 R65 to manage a VSX
R65 cluster and you have OSPF enabled on one of the virtual systems.
I'm facing an issue where VSX internal IPs, from the 192.168.196.0/24
range show up in GateD and it's wreaking havoc through the network as
gated is using those IPs as router advertisers and the logs are filled
up with messages like this:
Aug 25 11:42:47 vsx1cl gated[7431]: task_set_option: task MRouting
socket 19 option GroupAdd(10) interface 192.168.196.17(eth0) group
224.0.0.2: Address already in use
Aug 25 11:42:47 vsx1cl gated[7431]: task_set_option: task MRouting
socket 19 option GroupAdd(10) interface 192.168.196.1(eth10.380) group
224.0.0.2: Address already in use
*Aug 25 11:43:03 vsx1cl gated[7433]: OSPF: invalid packet: No such
interface (7)*
*Aug 25 11:43:34 vsx1cl last message repeated 222 times*
*Aug 25 11:44:35 vsx1cl last message repeated 368 times*
*Aug 25 11:45:36 vsx1cl last message repeated 374 times*
*Aug 25 11:46:37 vsx1cl last message repeated 368 times*
*Aug 25 11:47:38 vsx1cl last message repeated 374 times*
*Aug 25 11:48:39 vsx1cl last message repeated 382 times*
*Aug 25 11:49:40 vsx1cl last message repeated 378 times*
*Aug 25 11:50:41 vsx1cl last message repeated 368 times*
and after some point, gated decides to erase the default route learned
via OSPF from kernel and everything breaks to pieces. after let's say 5
to 15 minutes (if we're lucky) everything goes back to normal. but not
always.
I have a ticket open with Check Point TAC, but I'm sorry to say they
have not been very helpfull at all.
I'm writing to the list in hope someone else battled this problem and
might have some clue I could use.
Thank you.
