Hi Torkel,

Shouldn't be any problem at all. Not that I tried the exact configuration case
that you need, but afaik the vlan tagging is independent unless you use a
layer2 device (switch) to make a shortcut among them. So you can have a vlan
100 on all your network interfaces with different network addresses/masks, they
won't interfere unless you'll use a common layer2 device to bring them back
together.

Regards
Roger

Betreff: [FW-1] Same VlanID, but not the same network, on 2 separate interfaces
in SPLAT

Hi,

Is it possible to have the same VlanID on 2 separate interfaces in SPLAT?

The vlan is NOT the same network, its just that we got VlanID 100 on 2 separate
switches.

I need to configure:

eth2.100 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:13:21:78:F9:3A
          inet addr:10.xxx.xxx.xxx Bcast:10.xxx.xxx.xxx Mask:255.255.255.0

eth3.100 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:13:21:78:F9:3B
          inet addr:172.xxx.xxx.xxx Bcast:172.xxx.xxx.xxx Mask:255.255.255.0

Anyone tried this?

Regards,
Torkel
