I'm preparing to do some upgrades to my firewalls currently gathering
information to avoid any issues if possible. I have a NGX R65 UTM-1 SPLAT
firewall at this location with no HFA on it at this time and plan on
installing HFA40 through the WebUI on a Windows XP client. I also have a
VPN-1 Edge X (Sbox-200) that I'm looking at upgrading to the latest 8.0.36
firmware at a later time.

My plan is to first upgrade the R65 with HFA40 and hopefully not affect
the Site-to-Site VPN with the Edge currently running 7.0.33 firmware, I
think HFA40 installs newer Libsw files on NGX R65 but should be backward
compatible with 7.0.33 FW. I'm going to wait a while to upgrade the Edge
device, 8.0.36 appears to be fairly new at this time and I can't find
documentation or release notes or anything for it yet. At that time I
will install the 8.0.36 Libsw files on NGX.

Anyone have any issues with Site-To-Site VPN's with Edge devices running
older FW after a HFA40 install?

Thanks,
John
