Hi
For those SPLAT experts out there.
Tried to upgrade our management server  fro R62 to R65, all was going well and,
however after extracting the file i simply came across the message " cannot run
patch add cd" like i said all was going, and the below steps is what i intended
to take, but i have no idea why after some time it was going well then all of a
sudden i got the above message, the only thing i think of is that perhpas the
cd was corrupt, please help, not  a splat expert, also do i need a cd cannot i
not simply put the software of the server and run some commands?,
below are the steps i intended to take, no error message in the logs or crash
dump or dmesg shows nothing unusual, thanks again

Take DB Revision of Management Station
Take Backup of Management Station & put on remote location
Mount R65 Splat CD and run “patch add cd”
Check MD5sum of upgrade package
Skip taking the snapshot for auto-revert – then run pre-verification tool.
Re-run “patch add cd” take snapshot for auto-revert
Follow utility steps to complete upgrade to R65
Reboot.
If problems revert to the current version snapshot.
Log onto Management Station check management of FWs
If all OK, mount CD with HFA on it, check MD5sum of .tgz
Copy file onto /var partition (check MD5 again).
Unzip and run installer for HFA.
Once installed verify hotfix version.
Log onto Management Station check management of FWs
Push out policy.
