Hi, We've recently encountered a few critical issues with a few (distributed) SCS spitting out a Certificate Authority Corruption message renderiing the box completely useless. We attempted everything listed in the SK from re-importing the database to deleting /database .NDB files but couldn't get rid of the error message which was preventing us from compiling rules or doing any updates in the security policy.
No major architecture/hardware changes were done on any of platforms prior to the corruptions. Only small security policy related changes. The only way to recover from this was to completely rebuild the SCS from scratch (thankfully, the rule bases were small) My question is, what would be a likely cause for these type of CA corruption issues? Thanks PS: All 3 independant failures I've had in the past month were on NGX R65 HFA40 SPLAT 2.4 (open HCL supported platforms) ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
