hi,
if you fw1 is running on windows you have to care about the patches
of windows.
only if you have an appliances (nokia etc) or splat checkpoint (or
the appliance vendor) cares about patching the OS.
so use any method you like to patch and manage your windows. if you
have an patch-mgmt-system I don't see any reason why the firewall
shouldn't be included there.
