I have my strong doubts about this box. It seems to choke with very little traffic for something Checkpoint rates as 400Mbs as I recall. I've been doing a smart defense update and it has been running for over an hour so far. I expect it to take another hour before it is finished. The cpu as reported by the smart view monitor has stayed about 95% or higher. The traffic during this has been:
Though put 150k to 300k bytes/second Accepted packet rate 175 to 300 packet/second New connections rate 1 to 5 /second Concurrent Connections 200 to 300 / second No VPN traffic at this time, just an office of <20 pc's and the usual email and web browser traffic. Most of the smart defense, content protection and antivirus is turned on. To me, these traffic number don't seem very high yet the box seems to be on it's knees.
