Subject: [FW-1] Help on Merging Checkpoint policies

Hi

We have a Windows 2000 NG FP3 SmartCenter which run on a Windows 2000
server, which we will upgrade to version NGX R65, then move to the new
Windows Smart Centre server running 2003 SP2 server.

Once we have upgraded the NG FP3 Smart Centre to at least NGX R62, we
would like to import this policy into the current NGX R65 SmartCenter
server which is on the Windows 2003 SP2 server.

Anyone have any recommendation on the best way to do this, the merging of
the Checkpoint polices is a bit worrying

So to recap

One SmartCenter server running NGFP3 on Windows 2000 no service pack
We have a further SmartCenter server running NGX R65 on Windows 2003 SP2

so we will upgrade the NGFP3, question is shall we commence the upgrade in
stages on a Windows 2003 build server or do this on a test server which
had the same build which is Windows 2000, upgrade this to NGX R62 then
merge the policy to the new server which runs NGX R65.

What is the best way to merge the policies?

Thanks
