Unless you have a significant performance issue with your current configuration, I'd say, "NO." Part of the reason is that you'll need another "container" blade license if you split it up. Keeping things as-is (and so long as your licenses have support), you can use the tool from usercenter to upgrade your existing licenses to the new blade licenses (required for the latest features in R70). There's no fee unless you upgrade the functionality from what you've got today. I've got a few customers who did this and had no issues.
