Ideally they should be the same ver and hf asap, but you can wait to do the FW's after doing the mgmt.

I have a question about upgrading from R70.1 to R70.20. The "Installation and Upgrade Guide" says, Upgrade all management servers, log servers and gateways, Then install the security policy on gateways. I usually don't upgrade the management server and gateways At the same time. I upgrade the management server first, Install policy on gateways (with backward compatiblity), Then upgrade gateways later, usually because I wait for the outage window for the gateway upgrade. Has anyone upgraded the manager and gateways on different days? I assume that works, but just wanted to make sure. FYI, they are open servers running SPLAT. I have no separate log server. Thank you.
