I have a requirement to install a smart reporter server to generate some
reports for customers. The reporter should be able to collect data from CMAs. I
have installed Reporter server R75 and established the SIC between CMAs and
reporter server. when I try to connect from smart reporter client to to the
server the connection times out. On server under $RTDIR/log/SVRServer.log file
show error messages like the one below:
Failed to update/validate database size.. Error: reason: couldnot connectto
server: connection refused (0x0000274D/ 10061is the server running on host
127.0.0.1 and accepting connections on port 18272:
exeption type: class CPostgressConnectionException).
I have done netstat -na on server and can't see any socket listening on tcp
18272.
Looks like the reporter installation had an issue.
try to uninstall (there is an uninstall script in the checkpoint directory)
and reinstall the reporter.
when I do evconfig
1 smartreporter enbled
i also need to know the licensing for smart reporter. do need to put the
license on the reporter server by cplic put or use container and attach
container to CMA.

Smartreporter license should ne installed on the smartreporter server.
