Hi,
You should look after your file (under solaris) :
/etc/inetinit
/etc/rootusr
/etc/rcS.d/S30rootusr.sh
Check the rights on each file (the 2 firsts should be 700 or 500 at least), the
third one is a link on the second one.
The first deals with /etc/gateways
the second one deals with /etc/netmasks.
You can find help in this two files (look at the comment header in the file).
