Installing FW-1 on a workstation product does work. I haven't tried it for
Professional, however when I went to the CCSA class at an undisclosed
provider, we used two NT Workstations in our labs. I queried the instructor
and he said it works the same as on Server but reminded me of the 10
simultaneous session/connection limitation with NTW. It would be
interesting to test this in a lab environment to see what happens.

According to Checkpoint, installing FW1 on a Windows workstation product
violates Microsoft's license.

If memory serves me Checkpoint doesn't recommend using workstations instead
of servers (although on my previous job I used NT4 workstation for firewall
and I had no specific issues (but that was a pretty simple configuration for
relatively small network - who know what could happen if I would use LDAP
servers,encryption,web filtering etc)
Again if memory serves me Checkpoint will officially NOT support
workstations for firewall configuration in next major release)
But you can give it a try.

instead of windows 2000 server or windows NT
