If I want to install checkpoint on a win nt machine where the policy is applied to the nic on that machine, and there are no other machine behind it, how would I do so? It is strange, I installed the software, and when I reboot, it does not allow NDIS to bind the IP stack to my NIC. So I was thinking maybe it is blocking 127.0.0.1, so I put in a rule saying, accept accept anything on the gateway. I still cannot even define a static ip on my nic. I tried adding a workstation with my local ip address and made it a firewalled gateway. that did not work either. what am I doing wrong. help :-)
