I would suggest using a different ISP for connection... Contrary to your users insistance there are plenty of ISP's out there with just as many numbers... If he is really that attached to AOL he can run it over ISP transport from the other ISP.   There have been many known issues with AOL and many internet programs (including SR) over the years so I am not sure there will be any solution.  I would double check that you have the most recent secure remote.. make sure you install after you install AOL so that it can bind to the correct network piecies...

I have a user that insists that he MUST have AOL as his internet provider as they have the best coverage for dialup numbers.

His Thinkpad T21 is running windows 2000 SP2 and he also has AOL 5.0 installed.

The problem lies in the fact that Securemote doesn't seem to function with AOL 5.0 on Windows 2000.

Does anyone know of a solution that would allow him to keep his AOL account but run windows 2000?

I have managed to slam securemote on a Windows 98 machine running AOL 5.0, but it seems that AOL was playing by the rules a bit closer on that platform.

This is somewhat urgent as I have been cornered into finding a solution or allowing  win98 on his thinkpad. (ick!)
