I tired doing this with a d-link 650 card and almost always got a blue screen as soon as securemote loaded. occasionally, I could get it to work but very seldom. My solution (work around) was to load securemote on the desktop that the laptop connected to and only install securemote on the ethernet adapter going to the cable modem.
