Hi,
Thanks for recommending this Tiny Firewall. Yah, we have installed it on a
Win95 PC and did enjoying it.
It could do most of what we wanted. Except that once user login in to
Domain, we don't want him being able to connect to Domain controller
through whatever network path. Because this domain controller is a share
drive also. We have tried all ways but still the user can map this domain
controller to his network drive as long as he needs to login into domain.
Any suggestion? Thanks.

Jin, take a look at the Tiny Firewall from Tiny Software.
I've used it on Win98, Win2000, WinXP and have had no issues at all. The
rules are file based which
makes transportation of the ruleset between machines easy.
Also the footprint is small and uninstalling seems a clean and straight
forward process with little residue.
I'd be interested in getting some feedback from other list members as to
their thoughts of the product.
You can download it from = www.tinysoftware.com

Well as far as software FW products go, it is somewhat dependant on the OS.
Across the board I would recommend either Black Ice or PGP Corporate
Desktop
Suite.

Hi,
We have a several machines for vendors dialing to do troubleshooting.
We want to restrict them to access the LAN resources as well as prevent
from
any possible exploits.
Can anyone kindly recommend some good desktop/personal firewall products
(how about Symantec Desktop Firewall)?
Thanks in advance,
Jin
