Actually, I was hoping to get the IDS to make me breakfast;)

To clarify what I mean by integrated (a poor choice of words on my part), is
the ability of the IDS system to notify FW-1 based on IDS policy in order to
block or notify on suspicious activity (SAMP).

The firewall and IDS will reside on separate systems.

ISS claims that it can do this.
I was hoping for any opinions/experiences of this functionality.

If you have a reason for buying an IDS system, the reason has probably
dsomething to do with security.
Installing an IDS-system ingetrated with a firewall is pure Madness.
I'm sure you understand what i mean if you sit down and think a little.

If you want a price/worthy IDS system, wich is easy to administrate, handles
high speed and is amongst the best systems in the world today, have a look
on www.intrusion.com and their SNP
